I remember when life was simple
I got in trouble for little things.
Like callings someone stupid,
or saying "you're dumb".
When my punishment was going to timeout,
or to my room.
Now, I never want to leave my room,
or to face the big world.
Why do I need to face the big world?
Why can't life be simple again?
Will it ever be simple again?
How do I face the big world?
The world will never be the same,
I have to face the big world,
with confidence.
Maybe the big world isn't so scary.
